Live/Work Along the Route

Street Closures

The route will be closed to vehicles from 8:30 am* to approximately 3 pm on Saturday, September 24. Some streets may close as early as 7 am. The event runs from 9 am–3 pm, and streets will be fully open to cars by approximately 4 pm.

Parking Restrictions

No parking will be allowed on the route after 1:00 am on Saturday, September 24. Parking restrictions will be posted and towing will be enforced. Additional street parking near the route may be restricted. Please check posted parking restrictions in your neighborhood.

Vehicle Access

No vehicles are allowed on the route between 7am* and approximately 3pm. There are crossing points at several intersections where vehicles can cross along the route. Crossings are indicated on the Open Streets Boston route map.

Driveway Access

Please be aware that all driveways on the route will be blocked and inaccessible beginning at 7am* on Saturday, September 24. If your vehicle is parked in your driveway and you need to use it after 7am* on Saturday, September 24, please park elsewhere as the vehicle will be inaccessible until approximately 3pm. Vehicles will not be allowed to enter or exit the route during this time. 

Bus Diversions and Changes from 9 am-3 pm on Saturday, 9/24:

 

Route 18 will start and end at Field's Corner Station instead of Ashmont Station. Riders should take the Red Line between Ashmont Station and Field's Corner Station to access this bus.

 

The following bus routes will start and end near the intersection of Talbot Ave and Welles Ave. instead of Ashmont Station: Routes 23, 24, 26, 215, and 240

Pedicabs will provide shuttles between Ashmont Station and Talbot Ave/Welles Ave for those with mobility challenges.

 

Route 201 will start and end near the intersection of Neponset Ave. and Adams St. instead of Ashmont Station.
